June 3, 2022

ZURICH – Friday June 3, 2022 – Auterion, the open source company building the software-defined future for mobile robotics, announced today that it won the 2022 Swiss Economic Award in the Hightech category. The Swiss Economic Awards are the premier award for the leading growth companies in Switzerland. Auterion is proud to have been named one of this year’s winners in recognition of its success in building the world’s leading mobile robotics platform.

“It is an honor to be named one of the winners of the Swiss Economic Awards at the largest business gathering of the year in Switzerland,” said Lorenz Meier, CEO of Auterion. “In 2017, Kevin Sartori and I founded Auterion with the vision to create a more sustainable future with robots and drones. As the leading software platform for mobile robots, we replace diesel delivery vehicles with cargo drones and make high-altitude inspection work safe by letting robots do it. We owe our success to the unique conditions in Switzerland, first and foremost the excellent research and education at ETH, from which our company emerged.”

The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is Switzerland’s leading business conference and was held for the 24th time in 2022. Every year, more than 1,000 leaders from business, science, politics and the media meet in Interlaken for a lively exchange of views and cross-industry dialogue. The Swiss Economic Award is presented annually as part of the SEF and honors the three most successful young companies in three categories.

Auterion is active worldwide and offers the operating system for mobile robotics based on open source software. With a software platform on board the vehicle, on the ground and in the cloud, Auterion standardizes the use of drones and mobile robots, makes them safer and brings together all relevant data in one place.
